Wait, so you're a transphobe?

I don’t think anyone has asked me the question which is the title of this post in those exact words, but I have had people wonder this about me over the years, or else out-and-out accuse me of it. With politics being the way they are in the United States, this question will not go away anytime soon. With me working on a book about the gender identity movement and why it is bullshit, this question will definitely not go away anytime soon.

I don’t know why I am doing this because the people who scream “transphobe” at me the loudest are not going to bother reading it. I suppose, as always, I’m writing for the undecided people. Those are the ones I usually hear from later going, “Oh, thank you. I didn’t understand that issue, and now I do” or, “Oh, thank you for saying what I couldn’t say” or “thank you for saying what I didn’t have the words for.” It doesn’t happen often, but the number of times it’s happened are a good bit greater than zero.

Okay. Am I a transphobe? This is an interesting question because, being Gen X and in my early fifties, I was around for the gay-rights war of the 1990s. And every time I turned around, some conservatroll was going, “I’m not homophobic. Phobia means ‘an irrational fear.’ I am not afraid of gay people.”

I now find myself in the very weird situation, because I support lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) rights, of almost saying something very similar about so-called “trans people.” And then I stop short because it’s a little more complicated than that.

Am I afraid of “trans people” or am I not? (It depends.)

If I am afraid of “trans people,” is that fear rational or irrational? (If it’s rational, then it’s not a phobia.)

And anyway, if you talk to the sorts of people who routinely throw around the term transphobe, you soon learn they aren’t really accusing anybody of being scared of “trans people.”

Here are some reasons I get labeled a “transphobe”:

I know for a fact that there are only two sexes.
Male and female. That’s it. Even a true hermaphrodite — an organism that has both ovaries and testes that function in reproduction, which no human ever does — only contains two kinds of reproductive parts. There is no third sex. People claiming that sex is not a binary have had lots of time to come up with a name for that third sex and to explain what role it plays in human reproduction. They’ve never done that. They are blowing smoke up your ass.

(Yes, yes, I know, “fungi have 10,000 sexes.” No, those are mating types. There’s a difference. Sexes are also mating types, but they’re a very special kind. Most mating types are not sexes.)

(Also, you’re not a fucking mushroom.)

I know for a fact that sex is based on what gonads (ovaries or testes) you have developed, not on what feelings, thoughts, or preferences you have.
Says it in a nutshell right there.

I know for a fact that humans do not change sex.
If we did, we wouldn’t “need” gender clinics to pretend to do it. And pretense is all it will ever be. You didn’t change sex, you got mutilated and hormone-poisoned.

Remember, kids: Clownfish (who do sometimes change sex) don’t need gender clinics.

And anyway, I keep hearing from idiots that “women can have penises” and “men can give birth.” Okay, if you can have any body parts and be whatever, why go on hormones or get surgery at all? What’s the point? Yeah, you don’t know. You’re just nuts.

(“But this one guy I read about was born a girl and then grew a penis at puberty.” That was never a girl. He has a disorder of sexual development called 5-ARD and was mislabeled at birth. Really mislabeled, not just some sixty-year-old porn addict’s wishful thinking cause he wishes he was born with girl parts.)

I know for a fact that I am not interested in being forced to lie.
I don’t care if you think me lying about something means I’m being nice to you. I would like you to be nice to me and not force me to lie. We can’t both get what we want, so I’m going to side with the not lying. You can be angry, or you can get a fucking grip. There is no option C.

I know for a fact that people who trans their kids are abusive fucking ghouls.
That includes David Tennant, and I used to be a huge fan of his. I might as well admit it, because we’ve met and there’s a photograph in existence of us together.

Damn it.

(“But my kid asked me to.” If your kid asked you to give him PCP, would you do it? Fuck off. You’re the adult, not him. Act like it.)

(I do have entire mountain ranges of sympathy for parents who don’t actually want to go along but are terrified of losing their kid[s] if they don’t. But I have very bad news for you: Sometimes they still reject you and so you lose them anyway. And if you go along with it and lose them, you will also have permanently damaged them. Even puberty blockers are not reversible.)

(But if you started out going along ‘cause you were scared and now you’re self-righteously bullying other parents to “affirm,” you can go fuck yourselves.)

I know for a fact that doctors who buy into gender identity are quacks and should go to prison for life without parole.
In fact, the only reason I’m not calling for the death penalty is purely on principle; I am against the death penalty in general.

You know people don’t change sex. You know sex is not based on thoughts, feelings, or behaviors. You know you know you know you know you KNOW. What the everloving FUCK are you doing?

Don’t give me that i Am A LiCeNsEd MeDiCaL pRoFeSsiOnAL bullshit. Thalidomide? DES? Symphysiotomy? Tuskegee Syphilis Study? Low-fat diet fad? Shut up and sit down. You should be absolutely embarrassed. Of course you’re not.

I know for a fact that men who pretend to be women and then use women’s privacy spaces are committing sexual harassment. Minimum.
It might not be the common legal definition of sexual harassment that has to do with workplace behavior, but it’s definitely creating a hostile environment for women and girls. And sometimes, other women and girls ramp up that hostile environment by shaming any woman or girl who speaks up against the intrusion. But I’m not going to pretend they’re the worst part of this situation. The worst part of this situation is the male OnlyFans pervert sitting in the next stall listening to you pee and uploading the video, which will not only be of the sound of you peeing, for his subscribers.

You think I’m fucking kidding. You amaze me.

If you don’t mind them perving on you, have a care for the girl-children they are also perving on. And sometimes worse.

(“You can always call the police if they do something like that.” Uh. It’s a lot fucking faster and causes a lot less fucking trauma if I can just make them leave when they walk in, right? Which was the whole purpose of making these spaces female-only to start with? Right?)

I know for a fact that men who pretend to be women and then use women’s educational, political, and other resources are invaders and fucking thieves.
Every space a man is in is a space a woman can’t be in. If the space is set aside for women but no woman can be in it because a man’s in it, that man just deprived a woman of that women’s resource.

Got all that?

A whole lot of dumbasses are shrugging at men taking up space in women’s sports going, “It’s just sports. What’s the big deal?” Well, while men pretending to be women are “breaking women’s sports records” (no, actually, they’re not, because they are not women), women who pretend to be men can’t expect a similar outcome if they invade men’s sports. So it’s men kicking ass in men’s sports and then men also kicking ass in women’s sports and women having that many fewer places to even play, much less kick ass. But maybe you still don’t see the big deal. The big deal is this: at the collegiate level, sports and scholarships tend to go hand in hand. These assholes are stealing money and educational opportunities too.

(While I don’t like beauty pageants, I am categorically against men pretending to be women and then going into women’s pageants for the same reason. These pageants usually award scholarships. More men stealing money from women. We already, as a sex class, possess and control a tiny fraction of what men own and control. It’s Judas, with his thirty pieces of silver, stealing the widow’s mite.)

In politics, some countries have what’s called an “all-woman shortlist” to ensure that women have a shot at political office where otherwise, men might freeze them out. Guess who they’re allowing on these shortlists now. Oops.

Remember the “first female four-star admiral in the Commissioned Corps” in the United States? Yeah… he’s a man. Men not only have historically stolen credit for women’s achievements, now they’re stealing credit for being women.

I know for a fact that people, both female and male, who hate women and girls are using this stupid cult as a weapon against women and girls.
I don’t know what else to call it when I find signs on the insides of restroom-stall doors at the public library, and I know that statistically they were highly likely to have been created by women, lecturing the female inhabitants of those stalls that we are not to question any male person who walks in. In another era, they would have held a woman down while their boyfriend raped her. Bet me.

It’s men who make most of the laws and they deserve most of the blame for this shit, because they could have prevented it and they couldn’t be bothered. They also think women’s predicament caused by this stupid cult is absolutely hilarious and that we’re getting what we “deserve.” That doesn’t let women off the hook who have also been pushing this incredibly damaging bullshit. Men may run the governments and own the corporations and control the internet, but women run the women’s NGOs, and that’s been one of the major ways this shit’s been shoveled down our throats. They have absolutely wrecked the mainstream feminist movement; that is now all about making pervy men happy, not about making women’s lives better. Even UN Women ought to be renamed Unwomen. That’s who they champion.

Man or woman, they don’t just call us names when we resist the cult. They utterly ruin our lives. I’ve lost count of how many people have actually lost jobs over disagreeing with gender identity, and I’m convinced that a lot of the reason I’ve had trouble getting stable in the last four years is because prospective employees google me and find I’ve been speaking out. I allegedly have free speech rights in the United States. Congress, however, is content to allow the private sector to practice the censorship that Congress itself can’t impose. I’ll get no help there.

(I have a job now, and never mind where, but I read over the employee handbook and if they ever google me and have the wrong sympathies, I’ll be done here too.)
